From Curiosity to Career: Why I’m starting this Blog
Introduced to computers at age 11 by my cousin Sotiris, I share how curiosity shaped my path into technology, security, and leadership — and why I’m starting this blog.

I was introduced to the world of computers around the age of 11, thanks to my cousin Sotiris. He was about 12 years older than me, already studying software development back then, and he had one of the first PCs I ever saw. I still remember visiting his home, waiting for that moment when he would switch it on so I could sit there, wide-eyed, exploring what felt like an entirely new universe. Those moments sparked a curiosity that has never really left me.
That early fascination grew over the years. By the time I was 11, I was diving deeper into technology — often breaking more things than I fixed, but learning with every step. Looking back now, it was the beginning of a journey that led me through different industries, challenges, and experiences, and today I’m fortunate enough to call my hobby my profession.
So why this blog?
Because it’s time for me to give something back. Over the years, I’ve learned so much from mentors, colleagues, and communities that openly shared their knowledge. This space is my way to return the favor: to share experiences, opinions, and sometimes deeper thoughts about our industry — from regulatory changes like DORA and NIS2, to cloud transformation, to building resilient teams and security cultures.
And why follow along?
Because I don’t see security as just a technical function. For me, it’s a bridge between business and technology, a trust enabler, and a growth driver. If you’re a security professional, a leader, or simply someone curious about how security shapes the way we work and live, I hope you’ll find value here.
This is just the beginning. And to be honest, I’m looking forward to seeing where these conversations take us.
